Depuis un moment on scrute les concours de freestyles sur instagram, véritable vivier des créativités underground. Cette forme exclut toutes les esthétiques qui ne sont pas rap, alors on s'est dit qu'on allait se lancer sur un concours de freestyle de styles libres, pour se rafraîchir les idées et aller un peu écouter ailleurs. 56 participant.es plus tard (31 gars, 27 go, presque la parité, âgé·es de 14 ans à plus de 50 ans), on a identifié 16 finalistes, 8 filles et 8 garçons. On a aussi soumis cette sélection à notre grand jury, constitué de Cyril Jollard (directeur de la Soufflerie, à Rezé), Bénédicte Schmitt (ingénieure du son et réalisatrice au Labomatic Studio), Marion Guilbaud (programmatrice du live sur France Inter) et Matthieu Conquet (France Inter). 12 artistes d'ALLOPOP sont issu.es de ce concours.
Ce volume ALLOPOP montre une cartographie éphémère de la pop francophone d'à côté, celle à cheval sur 2 ou 3 cases, et qui à l'usage et au final, invente sa propre esthétique. Voici donc 20 sons d'"AUTRE POP" - étymologie d'ALLO en grec - à apprécier en toute saison.

RECEPTION BEFORE THE RELEASE !
It has been a while now since we started checking out freestyle battles on Instagram, true crib for underground creations. This form excludes every aesthetic that is not rep, so we thought we coould launch one that is completely free in terms of music style, to get some fresh ideas and listen to something new elsewhere. 56 contstants later (31 men, 27 women, almost parity, aged from 14 years old to more than 50), we identified 16 finalists, 8 girls and 8 boys. We also submitted this selection to a grand jury composed of Cyril Jollard (La Soufflerie's director in Rezé), Bénédicte Schmitt (sound engineer and director for the Labomatic Studio), Marion Guilbaud (programmer for France Inter) and Matthieu Conquet (France Inter). 12 artists here on ALLOPOP are from this contest.
This ALLOPOP volume shows an ephemeral cartography of French pop from next door, the one in between two or three labels, and which, in the end, creates its own aesthetic. So here is 20 songs of "OTHER POP" - ALLO's ethymology in Greek - you can appreciate in every circumstance.
